Our Clinics

Family Planning and Contraceptive advice

The doctors and practice nurses can give advice about all sorts of family planning. We can fit coils, caps and contraceptive implants. We can also arrange emergency contraception: please get in touch as soon as possible and mention that it is urgent when making your appointment.

We run a Family Planning Clinic every Tuesday at Oxford Terrace between 5pm to 6pm, you will need to call the surgery to book an appointment for this. This is NOT a walk in clinic.

INR Clinic

This clinic is held at Rawling Road, please arrange your appointment before attending.

Asthma Clinic

Make an appointment to see one of the nurses with a special interest in asthma. The nurse will agree with you how often you need to attend.

Cervical Smears (Cytology)

We strongly recommend that women have a cervical smear every 3 years from age 25 to 65. Just make an appointment with a practice nurse. You will get a letter telling you the result. If you have any questions or worries, please telephone or see the practice nurse.

Minor Surgery

A number of our doctors perform minor surgical procedures here in the practice for convenience and speed of treatment.

This includes removal of many benign skin lesions such as skin tags, warts, raised moles, cysts, small fatty lumps (lipomas), treatment for ingrowing toenails as well as steroid injections to joints for arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis etc. Removal of lesions is done through our Minor Surgery Clinics. Steroid joint injections can be given in a regular GP appointment if deemed appropriate.

If you think you need minor surgery, please book an appointment to discuss the problem with Dr Young, Farrow, Barker or Slyderink.
